Surf School in the Algarve

Established in 1996, Algarve Surf School offers ASI-certified surf lessons, camps, and accommodation in Sagres and Carrapateira. Beginner lessons, improver courses, and equipment rental available.

Algarve Surf School & Camp has been teaching surfing since 1996, with locations in Sagres and Carrapateira (Praia do Amado). They offer surf lessons (1-5 day packages), private lessons, kids lessons (ages 6-10), surf camp week packages, equipment rental (boards and wetsuits), surf and stay packages, and yoga sessions. With a 5-star rating from hundreds of students, their experienced instructors provide professional surf education in the best waves of the Algarve. The Sagres location serves the western Algarve.

Lagos Surf Safari has over 17 years of experience teaching surfing on the Algarve coast. Located in Lagos, they offer group surf lessons (max 8 per instructor), private lessons (max 2 per instructor), rent and ride packages (equipment plus transport), family surfing, surf guiding, and equipment rental. Daily surf trips visit the West or South coast beaches depending on conditions. Lunch packs are included in full-day sessions. Their small group sizes ensure personalized attention from experienced instructors.

Carrapateira Surf School is located directly on Praia da Bordeira in the Costa Vicentina natural park. They offer surf lessons for all levels, with small groups of maximum 8 students and all equipment included. Lessons take place directly on Bordeira Beach, one of the best surf spots in the western Algarve. They also offer surf rentals and have a beach bar for refreshments.
